FAQs
1. Are stainless steel lunch boxes actually safe for everyday use?
Absolutely. One of the biggest reasons people switch to stainless steel lunch boxes is because they’re food-safe, BPA-free, and don’t absorb chemicals the way some plastics can over time. High-quality stainless steel is also rust-resistant and built to handle daily use without affecting the taste of your food.
2. Do stainless steel lunch boxes keep food hot or cold?
A regular stainless steel lunch box will help maintain temperature for a little while, but if you want your lunch to keep chilled, team with a freezer pack in an insulated lunch bag.
3. Are stainless steel lunch boxes with silicone lid inserts leakproof?
Our lunchboxes are leak-resistant. If you regularly pack sauces, yogurt, or soups, we recommend teaming the lunchbox with our snack and sauce pots.
4. What’s the best way to clean a stainless steel lunch box?
Good news: they’re very low maintenance. Our lunchboxes can be washed with warm soapy water, and are dishwasher-safe too. For stubborn smells or stains, a quick scrub with baking soda or a rinse with vinegar usually does the trick. Avoid harsh steel scrubbers if you want to keep the finish looking scratch free.
5. Why are so many people switching from plastic to stainless steel lunch boxes?
Mostly because they last longer and feel more reliable. Stainless steel lunch boxes are durable, reusable, and better for reducing plastic waste and protecting our families from those nasty microplastics. They also don’t stain easily or hold onto food odors, which makes them a lot nicer to use day after day. Once people switch, they usually stick with them for the long run.
